Speakables for TV lets you control your PVR with your voice. Developed to complement the actions you can already do with Speakable Items, Speakables for TV gives you the ability to change to the channel you want just by saying the name of the channel. Say "Show Listings" and see your TV listings and when you see what you want, just say the name of your channel.

Speakables for TV supports the following PVRs

To Get Started:

  1. Activate Speakable Items.
  2. To add channels press the plus (+) sign
  3. To delete channels press the minus
    (-) sign.
  4. To change the name/command for a channel, double click on the current command for that channel.
  5. When you have configured your channels, go to the File menu and select "Save."

You can now change channels
with your VOICE!
 

Adding Commands that are Keyboard Shortcuts:

  1. Give the voice command "Define keyboard command".
  2. When you see the dialog box below enter the keyboard shortcut and define the voice command.
 

Commands for TV Listings:

  1. Go to your Listings web page.
  2. Give the command "Make This Speakable".
  3. If the command is in your browser folder, move it to the general Speakable Items folder (this will make that command available all the time)

You can now give a command to see your listings and then give a command
to change to the channel you want.
